Summer of 2012 I discovered a tiny little kitten(or so I thought) coming to my porch each evening….
Came to find out this was a mature Munchkin breed cat. They sorta look like a Pekinese dog in the face. Not too attractive at first, but boy did she grow on me.
She had the ability to stand on hind legs and beg and it was very cute and endearing. She did this for affection and I complied. Soon I was feeding her and she always returned so I thought she was displaced. At first, I did not recognize the fact she was a very, very unique breed. Expensive too!
I did not like the fact she was outdoors at night, but my roomie was severely allergic, so I cut a hole in my window screen and allowed her access to my room only. I took care of her for awhile because she never left. Posted flyers around hoping to get insight to her owners but got no replies. Then after 1 1/2 months, we were sitting in the yard and she had crawled on my shoulders like she did, and a young lady was walking by and she said ‘That’s my cat’. Well, I was dumbfounded but relieved too!
She explained the cat came from her deceased mother in Louisiana. She had been designated to take care of it. She explained also why all of a sudden the cat no longer wished to live with her. Her fiancé had moved in with 2 big dogs that tormented the Munchkin, which I named Sweet Pea, so she took off through the doggy door and never wished to return. The lady attempted to take her back home 2 times, but she always returned to me.
I cared for her another month before finally succumbing to wished of roomie to get her another home. Found her a nice ‘indoor only’ place with an older couple. One down, and 6 more cats to help. Found out little Sweet Pea was 12 years old. Such a sweet cat! Tomorrow I will tell of another cat I helped last summer.

Welcome to my community blog!
I’m sorry this blog is not polished but I am just not a very technical person. It’s about content anyway. I do hope the messages will resonate with folks.
I will be blogging almost everyday from now forward. This blog is mostly about Cats, homeless, abandoned, or abused, and how we can all help them. It’s about building a community to help them
I post pic’s and videos, articles etc. and different ideas to help. I have been fortunate to help ’7′ cats in the last 12 months. I will tell their stories and how I was fortunate enough to help.
And this blog is about my new business, how it will help, and finding different ways to help these animals.
Continuing to work on the aesthetics of my blog but it’s slow ’cause I don’t like doing it..plain and simple
